I’ve been bleaching and dyeing my hair for almost ten years now, and I can’t even tell you the number of times someone has told me that I’d better be careful or else “all my hair will fall out.”
Luckily, that has never happened (fingers crossed that it never does!), but I have dealt with my fair share of frizzies and dead ends due to all the chemicals and styling products / tools that I use.
I’m always on the lookout for new products that my friends recommend that offer strengthening proteins for my hair and things that have a lasting fragrance, and when I stumbled upon this post from Kelly-Anne , I knew I had to try this stuff out!
Nick and I went to Sally’s Beauty Supply a few days ago so I could pick this stuff up. Well, we went so I could buy hair dye and developer so I wouldn’t have to spend $12 on a boxed dye set, but when I remembered that I needed new hair washing products anyway, I caved and added them to my cart.
I have not been disappointed! First of all, the smell of this stuff is AMAZING — It smells exactly like a Brazilian vacation. Or, it smells like what I would imagine a Brazilian vacation to smell like. Coconut, brown sugar, florals, suntan lotion and it lasts for 24+ hours! I cannot even. The smell almost brings me to tears alone, and that’s not even talking about the awesome condition my hair is currently in.
I straighten and blowdry my hair almost every day. I know it’s not good for it, but I’m half Argentinian and when I don’t take care of my mane, my mane takes care of me (in the form of crushing me under its suffocatingly frizzy weight!). It has to be tamed in order for me to appear even the least bit like a functioning member of society, and the only way for me to do that is with tons and tons of chemicals and heat.

After using these two bad boys for the last few days, my hair is shining like never before and it feels a lot stronger, too. They also have a Deep Conditioning Treatment but I opted to get just the regular Shampoo & Conditioner for now. I love this stuff and will definitely be a repeat customer!

Haha, yeah, it’s great! My hair is pretty thick but I keep it cut and layered so that it doesn’t hassle me. Let me know if you try it! 🙂
Does it naturally make your hair straight
No. It’s a conditioning treatment, not a hair straightener.
I have tried almost every shampoo and conditioner at Sally’s. I color my hair, but I don’t perm or bleach and still is dry and frizzy. I started using this product line a few weeks ago and I am in love! My hair is smooth, shiny and feels thicker. I am also a big smell freak too and when it comes to the scent, this one gets 5 stars from me!
