Sake Sundays!

I thrive on impulsivity and decisions that are only thought through 30% of the way.

A few days ago I thought it’d be a fun idea to paint my face to look like a sugar skull girl. I have no idea why I felt like doing it or what the point of it would be, but the thought of painting my face and then browsing CareerBuilder.com for my next job just tickled me too much to ignore.

It was really fun and looked awesome:

And then came the time to take the paint off.

Oh, did I forget to mention? I don’t actually own face paint. I used acryclic paint from a Paint-By-Numbers kit (see the finished Paint-By-Numbers painting I did in this post!) This was a mistake, you see.

Much to my displeasure, and the great amusement of at least 8 of my Facebook friends, I removed the paint by literally peeling it off. This left my skin angry, raw, red and painful. On the bright side, it worked wonders to clear my pores! Disgusting. 😐

Today Nick and I went to a couple of stores looking for this Mayan Cocoa Spice tea I saw on Tumblr. Unable to find it, we made a trip to our local Asian supermarket and bought the coolest, weird things, including sake! I’m a lightweight, I’m hypoglycemic and I am a lush. I’ve had half a wine glass and I’m drunk!

And then I decided that I HAD TO HAVE A HAIRCUT and wanted bangs immediately. Nick tried to dissuade me, saying that I was drunk and that I didn’t really want bangs.

DEAR SIR, I VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE!

And so, as I ran to the bathroom to lock myself away with the kitchen shears, Nick looked on helplessly. He also posted a status about it:

Friends waited with bated breath, ready to laugh at my inability to make good decisions while inebriated. I chopped and I straightened and I brushed and, voila!

Not so bad for a drunken decision! I feel five years old and my boyfriend thinks I’m cute. My friends like it too! It’ll take a little getting used to, of course — I keep trying to put my hair to the side like normal every time I see it along the top of my vision.

The heat will probably suck, too — Summers in Florida blow and sweaty bangs will never be attractive. But when the fall and winter come, yay! I’m stylish! Teehee.

I hope everybody else had a great weekend. 🙂
