Labor Day Weekend 2012

I can honestly say that I’ve never had a memorable Labor Day weekend. I’m sure I must have celebrated the holiday in some fashion, but I honestly can’t think of  any of my past Labor Days from my entire life.

I’d like to preserve this one though, you see. It was full of pretty things and happiness and I can easily say that this Labor Day weekend has, without a doubt, been my very favorite of all time.

I worked Saturday morning and at around 1:30 PM, Nick picked me up and we drove to Target to get some new things for me to wear to work.

Little knots!

New messenger bag-type purse!

The wallet I found that matches the purse PERFECTLY!

From left: New dress, new shirt, new cardigan.

I am the palest Floridian.

This is how I act in public. It’s a wonder I have any friends at all.

Navratan Korma! We’re being vegetarians for all of September so we had vegetarian Indian food to celebrate. So good, omg.

Paneer Masala! My faaavorite, I love those little cheesey squares.

We had Garlic Naan and Peshawari Naan, which is sweet and stuffed with fruit and nuts. Both are yummy!

Kailey and her boyfriend came over after work to take pictures and hang out together. We showed them our apartment and all our weird/cool things and they seemed to think it was neat! 😀

Kailey and her boyfriend, Nick. Her hair is amaaaaazing!

We decided that the best word to describe Kailey is “unapologetic”. She’s fantastic to be around and amuses me all day at work.

Her hair has a 2 ft radius and is craaaazy! She’s always complaining about it but it’s pretty cool. 😛

Nick and I went on an afternoon date to Taco Bell (lol) and AMC! It was so dead, there were no people outside when we got there. I love it like that!

All I could think about was steak and steak and steak. We normally only get a slushie at theaters, if that, but my insatiable appetite due to the lack of meat in my diet made me want to eat everything in sight. It was awful, lol.

He almost wouldn’t let me do this, haha. I looove him!

The Possession! We love Sam Raimi, but this was sadly only so-so. The little girl’s acting was fantastic though! A lot of the previews looked very promising though!

This is what I think of scary movies.

He just finished this piece, it looks AWESOME. This was from when it was almost finished. I love living with someone who has so much talent — It’s so cool to watch him make things look beautiful. 🙂

This is the actual finished picture. You can buy it by clicking here!!

Tibbylicious! He’s getting so big. More and more like a chihuahua every day, unfortunately.

Coconut Soda! It’s teal! We found it at Wal-Mart for like $.87!

And then tonight I baked cupcakes! I’ll have a recipe up soon, but for now:

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes with Mascarpone and Marshmallow Whipped Cream Frosting.
