Oh, Christmas Tree!

It’s almost Christmas! I can’t believe the end of 2012 is sneaking up on me so quickly. This year has been a crazy one!

This will be Nick and I’s second Christmas together. Last December we were picking strawberries and cutting down our orange scented Florida Christmas tree and this year we’re looking for an apartment in a new city! The last twelve months have flown by and if I think about it for too long, I make myself dizzy.

Since we still haven’t found a place of our own yet, we’re unable to have a real Northern Christmas tree, which is something I was really excited about. To help get us in the Christmas spirit without one, we bought a 4 ft tall pink Christmas tree this morning along with a bunch of awesome decorations!

I love it so much!! It’s exactly what I was hoping it would be and it’s so cheerful! I put the presents we bought for our friends and each other underneath ol’ Ethel and she’s looking very festive indeed!

Aside from Christmas-related shenanigans, things are going decently. The apartment hunt has been hard — a huge setback forced Nick and I to completely restart our search after having already found a seemingly perfect new home. It’s been pretty hard to balance sleep with apartment viewings and alternating work schedules, but we’ve been saving some money so that as soon as we find a place that is available and suitable for us, we can move in and start making it ours immediately!

Sorry if my updates are few and far between until we get completely settled up here — keep your fingers crossed for us that it will be very soon!

ONE MORE THING!! It snowed here awhile back and I’ve finally seen snow fall, stick and he thrown at my face in the form of a snowball! It was so beautiful and I can’t wait when it’s inches high so that I can play in it for hours and take tons of pretty pictures! 😀
