I’m going on vacation in less than a week and I feel like the last month has been a ridiculously busy rush of me trying to get ready to go out of the country (my further trip from home ever!), working, and trying to get through my intensely large stack of library books (that all need to be returned before said vacation… yikes!). I’ve spent ages prepping posts so that there isn’t a huge interruption while I’m gone (follow me on Instagram if you want to keep up with my day-to-day!), and the effort of doing so many in such a short time span has been pretty exhausting – but I feel really productive!
I’ve been toying with the idea of a monthly recap, especially as a way to keep a better log of what I’m reading lately than Goodreads – which is great, don’t get me wrong, but the shelves/lists aren’t as intuitive as I’d like them to be. Plus, it’s a handy way to keep all my recent posts for the month in one place for accessibility! I also like the idea of being able to just briefly outline the month in general since time seems to be flying by so quickly his year, so, without further ado…
What I Read
I read over 20 titles this month! This is a record for me for this year (and probably ever, tbh) – and I have library due dates to thank, as much as I hate them! 😛 A few of the titles this month were novellas or trade paperbacks, which helped a bit on the sheer amount of numbers front. Overall there was a lot of good stuff – and actually, quite a few new favorites that I’ve been recommending to anyone who will listen. Anything with 4 – 5 stars is worth a read, so check them out!

What I Did
✨ I finally convinced myself to create my own bookstagram account! I love the bookstagram community so much, and the pictures are so pretty!
✨ I won a giveaway sponsored by Malk Organics and Zevia – both of which are delicious and I’ll have posts recommending them soon.
✨ I got really crafty with rainbows! I added colorful backing to my bookshelves, created a flower canvas background for photo ops, and color coded several shelves of books!
✨ I made three different recipes for three kinds of ketogenic waffles – savory (recipe above!), cinnamon, and chocolate (recipes soon!). YUM!
What’s Coming Up
✨ I’m going on vacation! I’ll be in the UK for a couple of weeks and am so excited for my trip – although I’m super nervous, too! It’s so far! :O
✨ My birthday is next month, and Halloween is soon after that! Which obviously means Christmas is right around the corner, YAY!
✨ In honor of October, I’ll be putting together a few Top 10 lists – favorite horror movies, books, short story collections, video games! Lots of scary stuff!
✨ MORE KETO RECIPES! I’ve made it a goal to post at least 1 – 2 every week once I’m back from vacation, and I have some delicious things to share!
✨ I also have a couple of keto cookbook reviews coming up – and maybe a giveaway?! 😀
Here’s to September being as productive and fun as August was! I’m planning to read a lot on my vacation flights and layover, so maybe next month’s list will be even bigger! 😛
