Weekly Wrap-Up: July 28, 2019

This week has gone by sooo fast! I’ve worked every day, and we’ve had a bunch of events going on at work so it’s been pretty hectic. I’m very glad I had the foresight to schedule these blog posts ahead of time, or else this recap would’ve been a lot shorter, haha.

I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed with how much I’ve got going on recently; juggling 4 jobs alone is hard enough, but having my blog with daily posts, my Etsy orders / commissions, and then the stuff I try to do for fun (reading, painting, bookstagram, embroidery, doing nothing, lol), I barely have time to breathe. I’m so tired so much of the time, and rely on caffeine probably way more than is recommended by any doctor anywhere. It’s also been hard to maintain personal relationships and a social life when I’m balancing multiple schedules.

As a result of this and some other factors, I decided it was best for me to cut down on some stuff, and that ended up being one of my four jobs! I’ll miss it a lot, and I’ve learned so much from it and have made some great friendships through it, but it’s definitely time for me to move on. I’m so excited for how much time set aside for that job will be freed up! I’ve been enjoying my last few shifts while I have them – teaching people to paint while bartending for them is really just so much fun! We’ve had a Christmas in July event, and also an HGTV event – SO BUSY!!! My hands have been covered in paint for the last 3 days and I have two chisel battle wounds from a fight with a few wooden boards that customers wanted distressing done to, haha.

Other than that, I’m really excited for a few big things coming up. Rich’s birthday is Tuesday, so we’re spending Monday celebrating and I am EXCITED! I’m also going with him to see one of my favorite ever bands, McCafferty, in San Francisco in a week! IT’S GOING TO BE AMAZING! Plus, a week after that, Zack is coming to see me in Sacramento! It should be a busy (but good) next few weeks, and I’m super happy about it.

There isn’t much else in the way of big news, other than that I’ll finally have a lot more time to read, and so you can expect a big influx of book reviews soon! I’ll also be sending a few more articles over the Night Worms Blog, so make sure to follow them on social media! 😀
