Middle of the Year Reading Check-In

So, it’s technically not quite the middle of the year anymore, but we’re close, so! I wanted to put together a list of what I’ve read this year, and some of my stand out reads so far.

I’m really lucky that a majority of the stuff I’ve read this year has gotten a really high ratings! Plus, there are so many anticipated reads for this year that are either coming out or have recently been published! My TBR is bananas. πŸ˜›

I started off 2019 with a goal of 200 books to read by the end of the year, but then my 1 job and 1 volunteering side thing ended up turning into 4 jobs, and a bunch of other smaller obligations in different areas of my life. I decided to lower my goal to 150 – which is still 50 more than my 2018 goal – and I feel it’s a lot more manageable. Well, I say that, but we’re almost into August and I’m at 50 books read, so… Yeah, haha. We’ll see!

Here’s what I’ve read so far in 2019… If you want to see my ratings for them, check out my actual Goodreads Reading Challenge here! The list below is organized from most recently read, back to the first book I read of the year!

  1. She Rides Shotgun by Jordan Harper has been my favorite read so far this year. I’ve read 4 of the books on your list.

  2. Seems like a lot of great reads. I read Sadie at the last half of last year and I really loved it. In May I read IT and I really enjoyed reading it. I had so much hype for how scared I would be that I wasn’t scared. I just got nervous feeling but I love when I get that feeling. Reading It made me feel accomplished because how long it is.

Have something to say? Tell me!
