Whoo, I can’t believe October is already over! The month was super busy for me, but I guess I can probably say that about most of them at this point. I did manage to get a lot more reading done, and worked more hours than normal as well, so it felt very productive! Plus, the release of some new products in my Etsy kept me busy with art stuff, too!
I was previously caught up with my book reviews, but since I’ve read more lately, I’m behind again – oops! I guess that’s a good problem to have though, right? At least I’ve done the work of reading them! I’ll have some time soon to get a backlog of reviews going, and am really wanting to bring my Artist Spotlights back, as well as start a new Author Spotlight feature at some point. I closed my book review requests on Halloween until the end of the year, so I’ll be able to catch up on all the ones staring at me from my shelf menacingly, finally!
Halloween was pretty uneventful for me, but then again, it usually is! I’m not a big party person, so I don’t normally go out and do anything. I am short and look very young, so I went trick or treating until I was like 25 years old, hahaha. For the last few years, I’ve had pizza and watched movies and played spooky games or read spooky stories instead! I love seeing everyone else’s costumes, so I use social media to live vicariously. I had to work this year on the day itself, but that just means playing with scary props and posting to social media or blogs about the day mostly – so it’s pretty fun and in the holiday spirit!
I’m excited for the last two months of the year. Thanksgiving is great (I’ll be sharing my Thanksgiving TV Episode Ritual list with you all this year!!), and Christmas is my #1 favorite holiday of the entire year – and my favorite thing ever in general, probably. I’ve had my tree up for the last 3 years if that gives you any indication of how much I love the holiday! 😀
