How many of us have a huge stack of books we’ve been “meaning to read” for ages? Whether it’s a release I thought I’d get to immediately after its publication, something I picked up on a whim thanks to a recommendation, or a book my boyfriend mentioned to me when we first met and he found out how into reading I was, I’ve got a huge backlog of titles I’d love to start getting through this year.
In addition to my normal monthly TBRs & also my #BranchOut2020 project, I’ve made a stack of 12 books that fit the above description in some way or another, and plan to read one per month for all of 2020! I thought I’d share a list of all 12, along with a synopsis for each, in case anyone has any of these on their 2020 TBR as well! I’m always down for a buddy read! 😍
I’d been planning on this (and had this post prepped) for about a week when I stumbled on my lovely friend Destiny’s post about #StartOnYourShelfathon, which is a 2020 readalong of everything you already own. The point is to help with the shelf backlog a lot of us have, as well as to read more of what we’ve already got before buying more. I did set a couple budget-like goals for myself this year for book buying ’cause it’s my weakest shopping point (next to art supplies – NEVER take me to a craft store!!!), so I’m hoping the combination of that along with this awesome readalong challenge will help a lot!
