#Pondathon: Readathon by The Quiet Pond

Oooh, I am SO excited for this! I saw my lovely friend Kal from Reader Voracious post about this readathon on Twitter, and since I’m already participating in The Quiet Pond’s #StartOnYourShelfathon, I thought this would be a super cute & fun thing to do alongside it!

Pondathon: The Quiet Pond's story-driven readathon. Image: Two swords with vines wrapped around it frame the words 'Pondathon', with three little forest sprites sitting on top. One forest sprite has a leaf on its head, the middle has twigs for horns, and the right has a mushroom on its head.

What is the Pondathon?

The Pondathon is a co-operative and story-driven readathon hosted and run by CW from The Quiet Pond. The aim of the Pondathon is to read books and collect points to protect the friends over at The Quiet Pond from the encroaching malevolent forces that threaten our friends in the forest.

Have fun participating in the Pondathon readathon by joining one of five teams, each with a unique way to collect points and signing up! You can also follow the story of the Pondathon as it unfolds, and participants can also complete ‘side quests’ during the readathon to collect extra points. The readathon takes place from January 24th 2020 to March 7th 2020. More information about the readathon can be found here.

My Pond Character

Meet Wanda, the Wordsy Wanderer! She’s a bubbly, cheerful chatterbox that radiates positivity wherever she goes!

She spends her life traveling far and wide, meeting new people and listening to their wonderful life stories, which she records in her notebooks. She loves collecting all kinds of stories & books, and enjoys reading a wide variety of genres when she isn’t making new friends! Her colorful flower backpack is filled with everything she’s collected so far, but because of her travels, she hasn’t made as much of a dent in her reading as she’d like – oops!

In her travels, she came across the Pond, and its wonderful inhabitants. When asked to join their fight to protect them from the darkness threatening to ruin their magical way of life, Wanda didn’t hesitate to jump in! Armed with lots of experience from her travels, stories & books from the folks that she’s met, and a walking staff to help her along the way, she’s ready to get started!

My Pondathon TBR

I’m including a couple books I plan to read during this readathon, but I don’t know what order they’ll be in – since I’ve chosen Team Varian, I’ll have to switch my book genres up every time, which is going to be great for my reading goals this year! I’ve wanted to broaden my reading horizons a bit, and I love that this is enabling me even more to do so!

  1. I love your little character! So freaking cute and *you*, haha! I have an ALC of In the Dream House that I want to listen to soon, but I’m a little nervous because I know it’s going to be triggering, so PLEASE let me know if you would like to buddy read it! No pressure AT ALL, but if you do want to, I’m sure it would be an easier one to stomach with someone I love and trust to discuss it with. ♥ I’d also be down to buddy read Clown in a Cornfield if you want! Again, NO PRESSURE AT ALL lmao. ❤ I don't wanna hog all your buddy reading time. 😂💖

Also, I loved The Kiss Quotient and Evelyn Hugo SO MUCH, so I really can't wait to hear your thoughts on those!
