How is everyone dealing with the colder months so far? I finished this one recently and WOW, what a wild ride! I loved the bits of humor that can come through in certain horror books - this one was darkly funny, and I can absolutely see it being made into a movie at some point if we're lucky!⁠ ⁠ I loved the usage of modernity in the story, but I my one question is how it'll hold up a few years from now. So much of the story is reliant on technology, current trends and apps and things that people use - I got all the references now, but I wonder if that'll be an issue for it later along the lines for horror fans and readers?⁠ ⁠ Either way, since we're all current horror fans and know what Tinder and ghosting someone is all about, I'd definitely recommend this! It's a thicc boi of a book, but don't let it intimidate you - some pages are text exchanges between characters, which speeds stuff up a bit, and the entire book is well written and engaging to the point that it honestly goes by in a flash!⁠ ⁠ I haven't yet read Jason Arnopp's other novel, but I do own it and plan to in the new year.
