How pretty is this book?! I’ve shared the cool outside cover before, but the inside is great too! Swipe for details!! Of these 3, I’ve only read Carrie - and I only just got to it last year! I finished THE LUMINOUS DEAD last week, and wow! I loved it!⁠ It's one of my favorite books of the month, so I'm using this as my #nightwormschallenge entry for Day 29 - Fav January Read!⁠ ⁠ I'll admit it was a little slow going for me at first, since a majority of the book's plot takes place underground and between just two people. But once I got really into it, I was completely absorbed & couldn't put it down for the last half!⁠ ⁠ I usually only give a quick once-through of the synopsis for books, since I like going in mostly blind and not really knowing what's happening. I enjoy knowing the general theme - like if there's a haunted house, or a creepy child for example - but I don't like to be given a bunch of details before reading usually.⁠ ⁠ For this one, I honestly skipped the synopsis entirely and just bought it based on how highly it was recommended by some of my book pals on here. Because of this, I thought it was about some underwater horror, or zombies. I was very, very wrong, lmao! 😂⁠ ⁠ This one is about cave exploration, but done in a terrifying way, and I really liked it! I started feeling a little claustrophobic just reading about the suit in the book, ahh!⁠ ⁠ Have you read this one? What are you currently reading? I finished my 16th book of the year so far early this morning, and am starting in on this one now! I’ve been very into anything Titanic-related since I was a kid, and this book is one I’ve been looking forward to ever since first hearing about it last year! I’m also participating in the #Pondathon readathon this year, and my team’s point requirement rule is that I need to read a difference genre every time I switch to a new book. If I read 3 new genres in a row, I get bonus points! This has been a little tough, ‘cause almost all the stuff on my TBR counts as horror 😂 So I’m trying to spread things out as much as I can! It has taken me WAY TOO LONG to get the full collection, but how gorgeous are these books by @paulgtremblay?! They're the UK editions, and I absolutely looove them!⁠ ⁠ I visited a Waterstones in England a couple of years ago, and brought back over 35 new books - did you know that books in the UK end up being way cheaper than books in the US?! I felt so spoiled while there, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to add to my collection!⁠ ⁠ Of the books I bought, 3 were Tremblay's - and I've shown them off here before 'cause the covers are just stunning in their cohesive and creepy beauty. Love them so much!⁠ ⁠ When I found out his newest would also match, I knew I had to get it - but it took me ordering online 4 times and being sent the US edition 3 of those times (despite me double checking the ISBN with the sellers beforehand!) before I finally got my hands on the right one!⁠ ⁠ FINALLY, FINALLY, it is mine and I am a happy girl! If you haven't checked out these books, you NEED to - they're so good, and A HEAD FULL OF GHOSTS is one of my all-time favs in particular!⁠ ⁠ What's your favorite book by Paul Tremblay?
